Introduction

Hi! I'm Celeste! This blog is just a little science journal about the grade 11 Chemistry curriculum, and how it relates to everyday technology, Society, and the Environment.  We will be going over the following units:

• Matter and Bonding
• Chemical Reactions
• Quantities in Chemical Reactions
• Solutions and Solubility 
• Gases and Atmospheric Chemistry
• Careers in Chemistry

Some topics I could go over are:

• Analysis of potentially harmful house hold products
• The health impact of the chemical reactions commonly found in industrial work places
• Analysis of the air quality of some technologies and human activities( e.g; gas-powered vehicles, smelting) and reflection on the a societies personal carbon footprint

These are just examples of the type of topics I might go over, not necessarily go over these specific ones. There's lots of opportunities to explore, so I'm just going to play it by ear and see how it goes.
